Contract Staff, Enterprise Risk Management (6 month's contract)

Responsibilities: 
Reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”), the incumbent will be responsible for working closely with all units in SGX to identify and manage their risk and control issues. This is an exciting opportunity to understand and help shape the Exchange’s overall risk profile.
 
The following are the key responsibilities: 
  • Drive the risk self assessment process across all units in SGX
  • Be involved in discussions with senior management to ensure continued relevance of SGX’s risk profile
  • Monitor the progress on action plans raised by the units to address risk issues, and adherence to various risk thresholds & limits
  • Contribute to various cross-unit initiatives, involving the establishment of risk frameworks, policies & procedures
  • Facilitate the successful conduct of various risk committee meetings (both Board committees and senior management committees)
  • Support risk champions in their use of SGX’s risk tracking system
  • Contribute to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders
 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Business Administration, Finance or Accountancy
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the areas of internal/ external audit, operational risk management or compliance
  • Strong passion and appreciation for risk management and internal controls
  • A self starter with drive, initiative and a keen eye for detail is a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the exchange business or financial industry will be an advantage
